...and spent the late afternoon having lunch and shopping downtown. It wasn't too crowded or too hot! Lindsey suggested sushi for lunch, and I couldn't have been more thrilled. I'm still shocked that she's eating sushi by her own free will! I hadn't had any in the few months since Minori's mom made a traditional Japanese meal, so it really hit the spot. I had the garden salad and a yellow tail roll.

After a much-needed power-nap and even more necessary shower, we powdered our noses for dinner and a night out. Christie's, the restaurant that Rachael works at, has a very unique menu. Everything looked good to me, but I ended up ordering the lobster quesadilla appetizer. Not the healthiest choice (and they did have quite a few!), but I was craving lobster. (Lindsey actually tried a piece of lobster and a piece of Rachael's shrimp!) Linds had a delicious mac and cheese, and Rach surprised us with dessert: banana fritters with coconut ice cream. Not healthy, but scrumptious.
After dinner it was time to hit the town! The weather was surprisingly cool and very windy, but it wasn't uncomfortable. It was so nice be in such a laid-back bar atmosphere. Not that Southie and Boston don't have chill bars, but this was different. It reminded me of Valentines in Harbour Island. When you see the marina and know you just spent a great day at the beach, there's nothing to worry about. Everyone we met was friendly and kind, and I'm proud to say that neither of us paid for a single drink the entire night. Now THAT is what I call success.
Certainly not the most healthy or active weekend, but I'll say it was one of the best I've had. Here's to living life!
